Are you yearning for a trip to your favourite little hotel, or just love the boutique hotel bedroom look at home, right now? We’ve been gazing at the webpages of The Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall and the St Denys Hotel in York, a couple of boutique hotels that feature some of our systems in their rooms. We’re loving their new bedroom decor, with a seasonal pop of yellow, popular dark blues and the trusty grey Nordic shades as the mainstay colours. It’s got us thinking about a Spring home update, with the boutique hotel look and some of our sleek systems that could add to the ambience.

The look’s been a great interior design for a while now and we’ve already tried to implement some of the key elements like symmetry, coordination and tidiness; we’re not quite there yet! Another great idea is having a statement piece of furniture like an armchair, or two, to create a relaxing place to chat, listen to music or watch a film. A feature rug is a great way to inject a luxurious and cosy feel to the room and adding texture with cushions and throws adds coordinated comfort and style. Mixing a bit of old and new, with some traditional or vintage pieces that contrast and complement the new polished pieces, really helps to add interest and individuality to the room. Our bedroom needs to be a relaxing haven and there’s nothing like chilling at the end of a hard day with your own music or film choices, when the rest of the household are on their various devices, somewhere.

The Grouptronics GTMC-101 CD player in piano black looks good, sounds great and is incredibly easy to use.
