The Flower Power Pop Up Bar, The Grove, Hertfordshire – Until 28th August 2017
The Grove Hotel is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love with the Flower Power Bar in a red retro campervan on the lawn outside the Glasshouse restaurant. Festivals are by nature annual pop ups and we like the look of one we’ve not spotted before; the Just So Festival. It’s an intimate camping festival for children and their families, providing an imaginative outdoor adventure, showcasing music, art, literature, comedy and theatre for families. Set in a beautiful landscape of woodland clearings, rolling parkland, arboreal amphitheatres and lakeside spots in the Rode Hall Estate, Cheshire, it sounds like a dream. Somerset House Film4 Summer Screen, The Strand, London – 10th – 23rd August 2017
The annual outdoor summer cinema at Somerset House has become a cult event and highlight of the London calendar. The Custard Factory, Outdoor Cinema, Birmingham – 25th & 26th August 2017
The courtyard of this Digbeth favourite venue is being transformed into an outdoor pop up cinema space, with grass, summer drinks, street food, costume prizes, a huge screen and four iconic films on show. The Lion King, Rocky Horror Show, Grease and Back to The Future are the classics on screen, at this family friendly event this Bank Holiday weekend.
